Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy

FinanceX magazine is an independent publication covering financial technology, payments, and the institutions shaping the future of finance. We are committed to accurate, fair, and transparent journalism. This page sets out the standards our editorial team works to, and explains how to request a correction or raise a concern.

About FinanceX magazine

FinanceX magazine publishes analysis, interviews, and original research for a professional audience of banks, fintechs, investors, and regulators across Europe, Asia, and beyond. Our coverage spans cross-border payments, banking, regulation, and the wider fintech ecosystem.

The publication is produced by the editorial team at FinanceX magazine. Editorial responsibility for what we publish rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Editorial independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship. FinanceX magazine offers commercial services such as sponsored content, roundtables, webinars, and research partnerships, and these help fund our journalism. They do not give any organisation influence over our editorial coverage, the conclusions our writers reach, or whether and how a company is written about in our editorial pages.

Where a piece is produced in partnership with, or paid for by, a third party, we label it clearly so readers can see the difference between independent journalism and commercial content.

Sourcing and accuracy

We aim to get things right. Our articles are based on first-hand interviews, primary documents, named sources, and reputable data wherever possible. We check facts before publication and seek comment from the parties involved where fairness requires it.

When we rely on another publication’s reporting, we say so and link to the original. We draw a clear line between fact, analysis, and opinion, and we present each as what it is.

Authorship and bylines

Articles carry the name of the author, or where a piece is the work of the wider team, are attributed to FinanceX magazine. Author information is available so readers can see who produced a piece and the experience behind it. Interviews and contributed pieces are identified as such.

Use of artificial intelligence

We use AI tools to support parts of our production process, for example to convert written articles into audio for our podcast, and to assist with research, transcription, and editing. Editorial judgement, reporting, and final review remain with our human editorial team, who are responsible for everything we publish.

Where AI has been used to produce audio or other material, we disclose it. We do not publish AI-generated content as though it were independently reported by a person.

Sponsored and commercial content

FinanceX magazine works with partners on sponsored articles, roundtables, podcasts, white papers, and events. Any content that is paid for, or produced in collaboration with a commercial partner, is labelled clearly, for example as sponsored, partner content, or in association with the organisation concerned.

Sponsoring an event or a research project does not give a partner control over our findings. Advertising and commercial partnerships never determine the editorial treatment of any company or subject.

Corrections

We correct mistakes promptly and openly. If we publish something that is factually inaccurate, we will fix it, and where the error is significant, note the correction on the article so readers know it has been amended.

If you believe we have got something wrong, please email us at [press@financexmagazine.com] with the headline or link, the specific point you believe is incorrect, and any supporting information. We aim to respond within [five] working days. Where a concern relates to fairness or a right of reply rather than a factual error, we will consider it on the same basis.
