StarBridge joins Fintech Latvia Association

Press release - Riga, Latvia. November, 13. StarBridge has joined the Fintech Latvia Association, an organization uniting the country’s leading financial technology innovators. This partnership underscores StarBridge’s commitment to strengthening Latvia’s fintech ecosystem and contributing to the growth of Europe’s digital financial infrastructure.

“Becoming part of the Fintech Latvia Association is an important step in strengthening collaboration within our local fintech community. Innovation in finance doesn’t happen in isolation – it thrives when companies, regulators, and researchers work together,” said Olegs Cernisevs, Founder of StarBridge and CTO of Blackcat. “StarBridge is ready to contribute its engineering and compliance expertise to help shape a more secure, efficient, and forward-thinking financial ecosystem across Europe.”

“We're proud to have built such a vibrant fintech hub right here in Riga! It's amazing to see market players recognizing the value of what we do — driving fintech growth and powering Latvia's economy forward together," adds Tīna Lūse, Managing Director of the Latvian Fintech Association.

StarBridge develops advanced infrastructure solutions for banks and electronic money institutions, empowering them with scalable, regulation-ready technologies in core banking, AML/KYC automation, payment systems, and security frameworks. Backed by more than 20 years of engineering and compliance expertise, the company delivers tools designed to meet the evolving regulatory and operational challenges of the European financial sector.

Combining practical experience with applied research in digital operational resilience, StarBridge stands out as one of Latvia’s key contributors to the European fintech innovation landscape. Among its flagship projects is Blackcat, a next-generation fintech brand that exemplifies how StarBridge translates academic knowledge and technological insight into robust, real-world financial systems.

Blackcat provides a financial app that offers users a flexible wallet system where they can open multiple accounts in euro or in several major cryptocurrencies. Designed to make everyday money management simple and rewarding, Blackcat allows users to separate funds for daily expenses, savings, or specific goals — all within one secure ecosystem.

Earlier this year, StarBridge represented Latvia in an official delegation to Germany, joining the Prime Minister and Minister of Economics to showcase Latvia’s leadership in fintech and technology during high-level events in Hamburg and Rostock.

Becoming part of the Fintech Latvia Association marks another step in StarBridge’s ongoing commitment to advancing financial technology, regulatory compliance, and international collaboration from its home base in Latvia.
